HELLO, I'M AMY!

I'm a Jewellery Designer Maker based in the South West of England in Salisbury - not far from Stonehenge and the New Forest in the peaceful Wiltshire Countryside.

Since becoming a mother I've been fascinated by the ways in which we express our life experiences and commemorate the things that are important to us through jewellery. The highs and of course the lows, how to carry memories in a gentle yet meaningful way.

Working in Gold and Silver mainly, I source recycled precious metals & gemstones as well as remodelling family heirlooms. I just love when a piece kept tucked away is released back into the world, ready for a whole new adventure.

Family life is busy with two lively children, a Labrador and husband too. Our family adventures are a never ending source of inspiration. We just love the outdoors and our beautiful countryside way of life. I also love my roots; my deeply personal experience with Alzheimers disease has embedded a profound sense of holding fast to love and memories

I've been lucky enough to have an Arts education starting with my Foundation here in Salisbury. My inclination towards metals specifically jewellery led me to embark on an Applied Arts degree at Bournemouth University. We were immersed in a fantastic department made up of an exciting hot glass blowing studio, a lively ceramics workshop and enticing jewellery studios. Despite plenty of wonderful distraction, Jewellery was never eclipsed and in 2012 I graduated with a 1st class Ba Honors Degree.

I firmly believe having worked for a couple of wise and brilliant jewellers that you must never stop learning, never stop reading and never stop playing. I love my work and I so enjoy bringing happiness with my jewellery.

I've always been called a miniaturist and so there is a enthusiasm evident in my collection for tiny seashells collected from my favourite beaches with my daughter. I love the idea that these little shells are symbolic and naturally make you want to pick them up like treasure.

This is paired with a focus on jewellery which has a minimalist feel, which can be worn in many ways and expanded on over the years. In particular my Huggie Hoops are cleverly designed to be worn with or without their drops. Similarly my very popular Keeper Necklace allows you to build a modern version of a charm necklace, slipping any of my charms onto the signature hammered ring.
