Solid Silver North Star Necklace

This solid silver North Star charm is cast by hand using the ancient Delft Clay casting method here in my studio. Recycled sterling silver is melted and poured into the mould and each resulting cast has a unique quality as its a one off technique producing very subtle variations each time. 

The original is a hand carved wax with this beautiful guiding star design which hold so much meaning. Hope, guidance, direction or protection. 

Jewellery Detail

The charm itself is approx 20mm in length including bail and approx 13mm wide. 

Choose from an 18'' sterling silver beaded chain (satellite chain), 18'' fine belcher or a 16-18'' standard belcher hand finished with an extender. All are finished with a bolt ring clasp which is secure and easy to put on.

It will be beautifully packaged in an Amy Wallis box and little calico bag ready to give. 

*There is variation in each charm due to the way that it is made.

All Amy Wallis jewellery is made in small batches by Amy in her Wiltshire workshop. She uses traditional techniques to work carefully sourced and beautiful quality materials.

Handmade jewellery is by its very nature touched by human hand and may show signs of the making process adding to the magic of a piece made just for you.

Mindful Making

Wherever possible the precious metals used to create your special piece of jewellery will be recycled. Where appropriate SMO (Single Mine Origin) gold and silver may be used also.

Packaging is simple and beautiful with the emphasis on re-use. Most jewellery will be sent with a little calico pouch which can be used to store jewellery to protect it from scratching or perhaps on holiday to keep little things safe!
